Another Tea Addicted Writer On The Loose!

Oh Fall, how I love thee! This is without a doubt my favorite season. I love sweater weather, the change of leaves, hot coco, the holidays (especially Halloween), and everything else about this beautiful season. Today’s tag post is actually originated by one of my favorite Beauty Guru’s on YouTube. Jaclyn Hill originated The Fall Favorites Tag three years ago! To be honest, I’ve wanted to do this tag since I first watched the video, but never really had the platform to do it. Now that I have my site, I’m happily taking this tag on!

So originally I was going to take photos of my favorite things for this post, but my pictures weren’t turning out great. Thus I’ve decided to simply link to the products that I mention in my answers. I am by no means affiliated with any of the websites and will make absolutely no profit if you decide to purchase anything for yourself.

Alright, now let’s just jump into this like it’s a big pile of leaves!

What is your favorite fall candle?
I love candles! I am often burning a candle, especially during writing sessions. Or in any sort of everyday setting when I’m home. In the fall, I actually have two must haves. Both are from Bath & Body Works, because let’s face it – they make great candles. In the daytime, I really enjoy the scent of ‘Autumn’. Then in the evening and late night, I go right over to ‘Marshmallow Fireside’.

What is your favorite fall lip color?
I broke this down to three different shades. In the fall I find I really enjoy a lot of pinky-mauve shades. There is NARS Velvet Lip Glide in the shade ‘Bound’, Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Lovesick’, and Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘Queen B’.

What is your favorite fall drink?
I love tea and in the fall, I love a nice hot cup of tea to accompany me. A couple years ago I was introduced to Bigelow brand Salted Caramel tea. This is a black tea and it’s so yummy! I definitely stick to drinking this one only in the fall season. It just has that sort of flavor that is destined (according to me and my taste buds) to make a special appearance during this time of year only.

What is your favorite fall blush?
Hands down I’m going with Lancôme Blush Subtil Oil Free Powder Blush in the shade ‘Miel Glace’. This is actually my favorite blush of all time thus far. I love how this feels on my cheeks, the smell of it (yes, smell, it is lovely – don’t judge me), and the buildable pigmentation.

What is your favorite fall clothing item?
My favorite clothing item is actually something I just purchased recently. I was on a random Walmart trip with some girlfriends when I spotted this beautiful open hooded cardigan with pockets by No Boundaries. I got one in the color ‘Black Soot’, but definitely want to eventually get the one in ‘Vendor Grey’ as well. This is such a comfortable and warm piece of clothing. It’s nice to slip on and off easily – plus it’s just cute! I love the detail on the side and the fact it’s hooded.

What is your favorite fall movie?
Watch Jaclyn’s video to hear her happy squeal and that sums up my love for Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Both movies I will watch numerous times. For Hocus Pocus I pretty much start those nights when fall officially begins leading up to Halloween. For The Nightmare Before Christmas, I will start specifically in mid-October and go all the way through Christmas. These movies are special to me.

What is your favorite fall TV show?
I used to watch a lot more television than I do now, but I still have my favorite shows. In the fall I always look forward to the return of Supernatural and American Horror Story. Admittedly, I am still catching up (I’m in season 13) of Supernatural (thank you Netflix), but I am all caught up on American Horror Story!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?
While I enjoy many items in the meal I would have to say my favorite item on the holiday meal is cranberry sauce. However – I’m into the jellied kind. You know the one that comes in a can; you chill in the refrigerator and then slice up. Oh yeah, that’s a must when it comes to my Thanksgiving plate each year.

What is your favorite Halloween costume that you have ever been?
This is such a cliché costume choice, but this is back when I was 20 years old (almost 21 here – November birthday ha) and dressed as a vampire. I so wish I had more photos still of this costume, but I do have a selfie headshot showing off my fangs. Actually, as you can see below I am giving you both the original of this photo alongside an edit I did way back in the day.

Why I love this costume so much is the memories of the night. I accidently scared a child. I was ready to go out waiting for friends to pick me up, and when I answered the door to a trick-or-treater the poor thing stuttered telling me I had a nice costume, but he questioned costume. I felt kind of bad that I actually seemed to startle the poor kid that I told him to take extra candy. While out with friends I had several people give me a double take. A lot of them complimented me on the natural look of the fangs I had, but some seemed to steer away from me. Now if only I could have talked naturally while wearing them. I was definitely a vamp with a bit of a lisp.

Okay folks! That’s it for this tag post. I swear I do this every time and someday when I do a tag post, I promise I will actually tag specific people. In the meantime, I reserve the right to my default of tagging anyone who reads and wants to do this! Of course if you participate in this tag please share your link in the comments with me below. I’d love to see what your answers are!

XOXO, Jane
