Family First

Hey everyone! I am so sorry that I popped on to say I was back (kind of) and then disappear again. Life has been pretty crazy behind the scenes. My poor mom has been struggling with some health issue still. One of which involves a major infection that popped up in her leg. She has already undergone three surgeries within the past month. The third surgery was actually done this morning (yes, on Christmas Eve). We aren’t even completely out of the woods yet, the idea of her needing a fourth surgery is kind of up in the air at the moment. We are hopeful to avoid it though. Poor woman’s been through enough, but the medical team taking care of her has truly been fantastic. I am so thankful to know she is in good hands right now.

Now there have been a lot of other things going on, some of which I just won’t bore you with – and some things I just can’t quite share yet. What I can share though is that I am going to take a half hiatus from the blog until the New Year. I will return sometime in full bloggy swing in January. At least that is my plan. Be sure to follow me on my social media pages, as I will be poking around there and as soon as I have a return date I will announce it on those pages as well.

Taking a step back, in case you were wondering what I meant by ‘half hiatus’ is that I am actually going to be preparing (as I can) some upcoming posts on writing. As well as do some tweaking around my site here. So while I may not be posting until sometime next month, I will certainly be around to work on a few things.

Thank you so much to all who have been and continue to follow my journey! ❤ There is a lot of things planned for 2019 and I am definitely excited to bring forth all of that. For right now though, I really need to continue to put my family first and focus on getting some other things taken care of.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and an amazing New Year!

XOXO,
Jane Ridgewood

      1. If you like, I was going to link to your blog for my next Liebster Award – it’ll hopefully get more readers interested in bloggers with under 200 followers. Are there any particular bloggers you know whose short stories / poems have impressed you & could do with a larger audience?
